Melodifestivalen Sweden, 2011

d3 takes the limelight during Sweden's biggest TV show

Background

The Melodifestivalen is Sweden’s biggest TV show, showcasing a prime time, live broadcast weekly song contest over a period of six weeks. The winner of all rounds, who will be chosen during the last show on March 11th 2011, goes on to represent Sweden in the Eurovision song contest, a yearly all time favourite across Europe. With multiple performers in every show, 3-4 million viewers every week and a live audience of up to 13,000 people, there is a lot to organise – and that’s where d3 comes in.

d3 setup

Pontus “Bullen” Lagerbielke, d3 operator on the show, says of his experience:

With it’s musical approach to programming d3 instantly caught my eye when I was looking for media servers. There is a lot of video content and never enough time to program. I found d3 stable, easy to use, and it is by far the quickest way to program to the beat of the music I’ve ever experienced. Support was great – it has been a pleasure to get to know d3.
