London-based design studio United Visual Artists have won a Silver MUSE Award for their 2011 installation High Arctic, in the category ‘Interpretive Interactive Installations’. UVA use d3 for many of their technologically complex and cutting edge design works, including High Arctic.

High Arctic, a monument for an Arctic past which was exhibited until January 2012 in the new Sammy Ofer Wing at the National Maritime Museum in Greenwich, London, invited visitors to go on an Arctic journey themselves, using UV torches to trigger interactive projections.

The MUSE Awards, organised by the American Association of Museums, aim to identify, access, and advocate a broad variety of uses for media and technology that help museum professionals meet the needs of their diverse publics.

Famous UK music group Orbital have released their new album ‘Wonky’ on 1 April 2012 after a studio silence of eight years.

Following up with a Wonky world tour that officially kicked off in Manchester on 5 April, management have chosen d3 as their toolkit of choice to run the live shows. Images and more information on how d3 was used will follow soon on this website.

The Wonky tour dates so far have been confirmed up until December 2012, visiting Europe, Australia, Japan and the UK. For more information visit orbitalofficial.com

Primed for general release for this year’s Prolight and Sound fair in Frankfurt Germany, d3 Designer is the first software only version of d3 available on the market.

On Wednesday 15 February 2012, audio, video and lighting provider WorldStage organised a media server workshop in their New York City offices, with d3 being one of the four companies presenting.

In Nov 2011, United Visual Artists restructured internally to create a new division: d3 Technologies.
